On Monday, the esteemed Dr. Zhino Bakhtiar Hashim delivered a seminar entitled “The Horizontal Spread of Kurdish Language Dialects” in Dr. Aziz Gardi Hall.
The seminar focused on how the dialects of the Kurdish language have spread horizontally and identified the factors contributing to this spread.
It also presented the most important international theories related to the diffusion of languages and dialects at the horizontal level.
The richness and linguistic diversity of the four major Kurdish dialect groups- Northern Kurdish, Central Kurdish, Southern Kurdish, and Gorani-and their spread at this level were discussed and illustrated with representative examples.
“This seminar was part of SDG 17, ‘Partnerships for the Goals,’ which focuses on strengthening international partnerships and cooperation to achieve sustainable development.”

هەروەها گرنگترین ئەو تیۆرە جیهانییانەی كە پەیوەستن بە بڵاوبوونەوەی زمان و زار لە ئاستی ئاسۆییدا خرانەڕوو.
دەوڵەمەندی هەرچوار زارەكانی سەروو، ناوەڕاست، خواروو، گۆران، لە بڵاوبونەوەیان لەم ئاستەدا بە بەڵگەی نمونەیی باسكران.
