On Monday, April 27, 2026, at the College of Languages, Salahaddin University, the College Cultural Committee, in cooperation with the College Quality Assurance Unit, organized a symposium entitled: “The Effects of War on University Education.”
At the beginning of the event, the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Saman Hussein Omar, welcomed the guests and expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the organizers of the symposium. He then delivered an opening speech to the attendees.
The first panel of the symposium was moderated by Mr. Shwan Mohammed Abdulrahim, a lecturer in the Department of Arabic Language, under the title “The Psychological Effects of War on University Education.” Three panelists participated in the discussion:
Asst. Prof. Dr. Araz Hakim Raza – Head of the Department of Special Education, College of Education, Salahaddin University.
Dr. Zozan Fouad Masoum – Lecturer, Department of English Language, College of Languages.
Henar Shakir Ali – Student, Department of English Language, College of Languages.
The second panel was moderated by Mr. Samir Yahya, a lecturer, under the title “The Effects of War on the Academic Aspects of University Education.” Three panelists delivered their presentations:
Dr. Shakhawan Mohammed Salih – Lecturer, College of Political Sciences, Salahaddin University.
Dr. Saad Qazi – Lecturer, Department of Persian Language, Salahaddin University.
Gharib Sabri Ali – Student, Department of Kurdish Language, College of Languages.
It is worth mentioning that at the conclusion of the symposium, the Dean of the College presented certificates of appreciation and recognition to the moderators, panelists, and members of the symposium’s organizing committee.
“This ceremony was part of SDG 17, ‘Partnerships for the Goals,’ which focuses on strengthening international partnerships and cooperation to achieve sustainable development.”

سەرەتا بەڕێز ڕاگری کۆلێژ “پ.ی.د. سامان حوسێن عومەر” وێڕای بەخێرهێنانی میوانان و سوپاس و دەستخۆش لە ڕێکخەرانی سیمپۆزیەمەکە وتەیەکی پێشکەش بە ئامادەبووان کرد.
پانێڵى یەکەمى سیمپۆزیۆمەکە لەلایەن بەڕێز “م.شوان محمد عبدالرحیم” مامۆستا لەبەشی زمانی عەرەبی بەناونیشانی (کاریگەرییە دەروونیەکانی جەنگ لەسەر خوێندن لە زانکۆ) بەڕێوەبرا کە تیایدا سێ پانێلیست قسەیان کرد، بەم شێویەى خوارەوە:
١.پ.ی.د. آراز حکیم رەزا: سەرۆکی بەشی پەروەردەی تایبەت -کۆلێژی پەروەردە -زانکۆی سەلاحەدین.
۲.د.زۆزان فٶاد معصوم: مامۆستا-بەشی زمانی ئینگلیزی-کۆلێژی زمان.
۳.هێنەر شاکر علی: قوتابی بەشی زمانی ئینگلیزی-کۆلێژی زمان.
پانێلی دووەم لە لایەن بەڕێز “م.ی. سەمیر یەحیا” مامۆستا بەناونیشانی (کاریگەریەکانی جەنگ لەسەر لایەنی زانستی خوێندن لە زانکۆ) بەڕێوەبرا کە سێ پانێلست تیایدا قسەیان کرد، بەم شێویەى خوارەوە:
۱.د.شاخەوان محمد صالح: مامۆستا-کۆلێژی زانستە سیاسیەکان_زانکۆی سەلاحەدین.
۲.د.سەعد قازی: مامۆستا-بەشی زمانی فارسی-زانکۆی سەلاحەدین.
۳.غەریب سەبری علی: قوتابی بەشی زمانی کوردی-کۆلێژی زمان.
شایەنى باسە لە کۆتاییدا لەلایەن ڕاگری کۆلێژ، سوپاس و پێزان بەخشرایە هەریەک لە بەڕێوەبەران و پانێلیستەکان و ئەندامانى لێژنەى ئامادەکارانى سیمپۆزیەمەکە.
