With the purpose of celebrating World Arabic Language Day, on Wednesday, 24/12/2025, the Arabic Language Department at the College of Languages organized a scientific workshop in Al-Ya‘qubi Hall. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Saman Hussein Omar, Dean of the College, Dr. Soran Mamand Abdullah, Assistant Dean, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Tara Farhad Shakir, Head of the Arabic Language Department, along with a number of lecturers and students from the Arabic Department.
At the beginning, the Dean of the College welcomed the guests and delivered a speech on the status and value of language in general. Afterwards, a series of seminars, as well as several poetry and prose readings, were presented by lecturers from both inside and outside the college.
At the conclusion of the event, the College Presidency and the Arabic Language Department expressed their thanks and appreciation to the presenters and organizers of the activity.
